I’m back, rested and relaxed and almost back to the grind! I realised that I haven’t actually been on a holiday where I just sat and chilled out most of the time for a good couple of years! I don’t think you realise how much sleep and just doing nothing much you need sometimes and actually how much better you do feel for it.
My advice to you during the summer months is not only take some time out for yourself but actually properly have a couple of days of just not doing much, even just sleeping as we just keep going and going and going sometimes that you forget to recharge, or feel guilty about it. But when you do it’s amazing how much more recharged you feel, and I found that I appreciate things a bit more, like my job and the perks of it as well as the clients I have. Saying that though a few more days would have been good ha ha!
The benefits of rest and relaxing are so important in this day and age though, as rest is an important part of a healthy lifestyle for all ages. It rejuvenates your body and mind, regulates your mood, and is linked to learning and memory function. On the other hand, not getting enough rest can negatively affect your mood, immune system, memory, and stress level….not mentioning any names….dad!!!!
So now I:
Will be way more productive.
Will make less mistakes, as more focused (hmmmm).
Will decrease my chances of getting ill as reduced my stress levels.
Won’t feel as tired and drained.
Will be nicer as not tired and stressed.
Will be in a better frame of mind.
Will eat healthier as coping better, and recharged
Will importantly look more beautiful as no bags and a bit of colour.
